During my stay I got to experience the Rizal festivities and an event which I will never forget...one which will stand out above all others (with the possible exception of my fist taste of fresh jackfruit)...The Philippine Film Festival...featuring..."DARNA"! My god...or rather....GODDESS!!! Who was that girl? I have never seen anyone so beautiful...so sublime! I used to think that the moon was beautiful!....The moon with her borrowed light... but this woman...Darna/Donna...nothing else compares to her. She is beauty personified! Helen of Troy revisited! When I returned to the US, I was slightly saddened, because I knew that I would not be seeing this Goddess on the screen any time soon. AND THEN!!!! I just happened to be sufing through some filipino web sites when I stumbled upon yours. It had been several years since I last saw the goddess. And now I find out that she sings with a voice from heaven. Oh...my heart is lifted! REJOICE!!!! I must find some samples of her music. Maybe you can post some sound bites on your site in windows .wav format? Just a thought. At any rate. Thank you for bringing my goddess back to me. I really enjoy her beatiful voice and also her comedic act in both Isang Tanong Isang Sagot and Do Re Mi...It cracked me up!
